Has your child ever been eligible for free school meals or do you currently claim any of the following benefits?
  • Income Support
  • Income based Job Seekers Allowance
  • Child Tax Credit, with no element of Working Tax Credit*, and a household income below £16,190 (as assessed by HM Revenue and Customs)
  • National Asylum Seekers Support
  • Guarantee Element of State Pension Credit
  • Income Related Employment and Support Allowance

If so you could be receiving extra support with costs such as trips, after school clubs and other activities. All you need to do is complete the free school meal application found here and when your eligibility is confirmed we will offer up to £50 towards the cost of school based activities. This is part of the governments 'Pupil Premium' initiative which supports the educational outcomes for children whose families may be suffering financial hardship or who have done so in the past.

We hope all eligible families will sign up for the additional support and this does not affect your free school meal entitlement under the new rules which come into place from September 2014.

If you would like more details please ask in the office - we're always happy to help.
