We provide a wide range of extra curricula activities designed to broaden the children’s experiences and develop their interests and enjoyment. These include:

Visits and visitors

The curriculum is enriched by visitors who add to what the children are learning. These include people from   our local community ~ such as police officers, fire fighters, nurses, people who share their skills and knowledge ~ Guide dogs handlers for example and visiting professionals such as puppeteers, musicians and actors. An exciting range of educational visits are designed to support the curriculum.

At Millbrook, clubs take place at lunchtimes or after school. Some are run by staff in their own time, for which there is no fee.
Those run by external providers charge for their services. The latter are usually open to all or most year groups and have included French, Spanish, Dance, Cricket, Fundamentals, Football and Tae Kwon Do. Voluntary clubs might include gardening and choir.

Playground pals

Children in year 1 and year 2 take on the responsibility of being playground pals. They are easily spotted on the playground by their bright yellow tabards. They are responsible for helping children to have a happy playtime.

Concerts and class assemblies

Children from all year groups perform a concert for their parents and members of the community. Each class also takes a turn in leading an assembly that shares their learning with parents and the rest of the school.
